Distribution:— Asia-Pacific, the eastern Himalayas, northeastern India and throughout Southeast Asia to the islands of the southwestern Pacific.

Mawlamyine District: type; same loc., 1839, Parish 177 B ( K) . TANINTHARYI. Dawei District: type; same loc., cult. Calcutta Bot. Gard. s.n. (not located, possibly CAL), fide Voigt (1845: 622) ; Myeik District: Griffith 839 ( K). WITHOUT LOCALITY. Cult. Glasnevin Bot. Gard. s.n. ( K), det. J. J. Vermeulen. Reported from Kachin and Rakhine states by Kress et al. (2003: 65), but we have not seen any material from these areas.
Distribution:— Myanmar and western Malesia.
