Distribution in India: Maharashtra (Bombay, now Mumbai)
Notes: King & Puttock (1989) and Silva et al. (1996) considered that B. radicans forma depauperata does not warrant separate taxonomic status. Schneider (2004) reported it more recently from Windhaham lake with estuarine water conditions in Bermuda in the Western Atlantic. The forma depauperata has as one of its various syntype localities in India ( Silva et al. 1996). Guiry & Guiry (2017) lists several more sub-specific entities for B. radicans .
