Note: Ratcliffe (2002: 26) synonymized Bolax vittatus Casey, 1915: 105 in error. Ratcliffe studied Casey’s type specimen and determined that it was congeneric with Trizogeniates foveicollis Ohaus. However , in a “senior moment” (pers. comm. to MLJ, Oct. 2004), Casey’s name and the synonymy were misplaced in Ratcliffe’s (2002) publication. Villatoro (2002) correctly synonymized B. vittatus Casey with T. foveicollis (see “Note” in catalog entry for T. foveicollis ).
