Description. Female. Length of body 2.0 mm, length of fore wing 2.2 mm.

Head. Antennomeres 20; length of first flagellomere 1.45 × length of second flagellomere; length of first, second and penultimate flagellomere 6.4, 4.4 and 3.25 × their width, respectively; length of maxillary palp 1.3 × height of head; occipital carina complete ( Fig. 32A View FIGURE 32 ); frons slightly depressed medially, nearly flat; OOL: diameter of posterior ocellus: POL = 17:6:7; length of eye in dorsal view 2.25 × length of temple; face smooth, densely setose, temple glabrous; malar suture present, length of malar space 1.5 × basal width of mandible.

Mesosoma. Length of mesosoma 1.4 × its height; side of pronotum smooth dorsally, remainder coarsely reticulate ( Fig. 32G View FIGURE 32 ); carinae of middle lobe of mesoscutum subvertical and subhorizontal; precoxal sulcus complete, with some short striae ( Fig. 32G View FIGURE 32 ); notauli complete, crenulate-rugose, wide and deep ( Fig. 32D View FIGURE 32 ); mesoscutal lobes setose, middle lobe slightly concave anteriorly; scutellum smooth, its lateral carina complete, not protruding apically; surface of propodeum smooth between carinae, its medial area distinctly widened dorsally.

Wings. Fore wing: first discal cell widely truncate anteriorly; vein r vertical ( Fig. 32F View FIGURE 32 ), length of vein r 1.2 × width of pterostigma; 1-CU1:2-CU1 = 1:4.

Legs. Hind coxa smooth dorsally, with an oblique dorsal carina; length of femur, tibia and basitarsus of hind leg 7.5, 14.0 and 10.8 × their width, respectively; fore claws with long bristles ( Fig. 32I View FIGURE 32 ), middle claws with one bristle, hind claws simple.

Metasoma. Length of first tergite 3.1 × its apical width, slightly widened apically, superficially rugose apically ( Fig. 32E View FIGURE 32 ); second tergite with coarse, longitudinal striae and remainder smooth ( Fig. 32E View FIGURE 32 ); length of ovipositor sheath 0.15 × length of fore wing.

Colour. Reddish-brown; four basal antennomeres, frontal head, palpi, all legs yellow; tegulae, remainder of antennomeres (but subapically pale brown), ovipositor and its sheath, veins, pterostigma, metasomal tergite and hypopygium brown; parastigma and base of pterostigma white; bristles of fore claws blackish, one bristle of middle claws yellow; wing membrane subhyaline.

Variation. Length of first tergite 2.6–3.1 × its apical width; length of eye in dorsal view 2.1–2.25 × length of temple; length of fore wing 1.9–2.2 mm; length of ovipositor sheath 0.14–0.17 × length of fore wing.

Male. Unknown.

Biology. Unknown.

Distribution. China (Yunnan, Fujian).

Etymology. The specific name tanae refers to the name of its collector, Prof. Tan Jiangli.

Notes. The new species is similar to B. (T.) apicalis van Achterberg, 1976 because precoxal suture is complete and having some striae, second tergite with coarse, longitudinal rugae, vein r of fore wing subvertical, and 4 basal antennomeres yellowish, but differs by having mainly subvertical carina of middle lobe of mesoscutum (subhorizontal in B. (T). apicalis ), apical antennomeres of antenna pale brown (yellowish-white), fore claws with long blackish bristles, middle claws with one yellow bristle (all claws simple), length of body 2.0 mm (1.5 mm), length of fore wing 1.9–2.2 mm (about 1.5 mm), length of the first tergite 2.6–3.1 × its apical width (2.1–2.3 ×), and length of eye in dorsal view 2.1–2.25 × length of temple (1.9 ×).
