Belisana xishuangbanna Yao & Li sp. nov.

Type material. Holotype: Male (IZCAS Ar39636), Xishuangbanna (21°36.590’N, 101°35.023’E, elevation 684 ± 9 m), Bubeng Village, Mengla County, Yunnan, China, 23 June 2013, Q. Zhao and Z. Chen leg.

Etymology. The specific name refers to the type locality, and is a noun in apposition.

Diagnosis. This species resembles B. parallelica Zhang & Peng, 2011 (see Zhang & Peng 2011: 58, figs 6A–E) with similar male chelicerae ( Fig. 4B ) but can be distinguished by carapace without marks ( Figs 4 C–D), by procursus with dorsal membranous lamella subdistally (arrow in Fig. 3C ) and without dorsal spines distally ( Fig. 3C ) and by relatively long and wave-shaped bulbal apophysis ( Fig. 4A ).

Description. Male (holotype): Total length 1.80 (1.96 with clypeus), carapace 0.75 long, 0.68 wide, opisthosoma 1.15 long, 0.64wide. Distance PME-PME 0.18, diameter PME 0.07, distance PME-ALE 0.03, AME absent. Leg I: missing, leg II: 14.48 (3.64 + 0.27 + 3.60 + 5.64 + 1.33), leg III: 8.11 (2.30 + 0.27 + 1.96 + 2.84 + 0.73), leg IV: 11.36 (3.36 + 0.28 + 2.88 + 4.00 + 0.84). Habitus as in Figs 4 C–D. Carapace and sternum whitish, without marks. Legs yellowish, without darker rings. Opisthosoma whitish, without spots. Ocular area not elevated. Thoracic furrow absent. Clypeus with small frontal apophysis. Sternum about as wide as long (0.50). Chelicerae ( Fig. 4B ) with pair of proximo-lateral apophyses and pair of long, curved distal apophyses provided with a modified seta each on tips (distance between tips: 0.44). Pedipalps as in Figs 3 A–B; trochanter with short retrolateral apophysis; femur with small dorsal apophysis proximally (arrow in Fig. 3B ); procursus ( Figs 3 A–D) simple proximally but complex distally; bulb ( Fig. 4A ) with long hooked apophysis and wide embolus. Legs with short vertical setae on metatarsi, without spines and curved setae.

Female: Unknown.

Natural History. The species was collected on underside of leaves from the seasonal rain forest.

Distribution. China (Yunnan, type locality; Fig. 5 ).
