Type material examined. Holotype (by monotypy) ( Figs 19 View FIGURES 19–27 , 158 View FIGURES 156–159 ): ♂, printed label “Darj” [NE India, north of West Bengal, Darjeeling] / pink printed label “Origin” / handwritten label “ Lyclene radians (type) Moore” / handwritten label “ Miltochrista radians Moore ♂. “ ♀ ” Hmpsn.” / “coll. Atkinson ” [printed] | “Moore” [handwritten] / printed label “ Coll. Staudinger ” / handwritten label “1048” / printed label “955.”, slide AV2887 ♂ Volynkin (Coll. ZMB).

Other material examined. 59 ♂ and 60 ♀ from India and Nepal listed by Joshi et al. (2018) (Coll. MWM/ ZSM) .

Barsine radians differs from its closest relative B. pseudoradians by its slightly larger size, discal spot of forewing being situated slightly more anteriorly, postmedial line being well developed in both sexes, and slightly broader outer field of forewing. The genital differences between B. radians and B. pseudoradians are given in the diagnosis of B. pseudoradians .

Distribution. Nepal, North and North-East India ( Joshi et al. 2018).
