Length (including forewing): ♂ 11.61–12.37 mm.
External morphology. Body brown to dark brown. Crown ( Fig. 5C View FIGURE 5 ) anterior margin round, length shorter than 1/2 width between eyes. Exposed part of mesonotum and scutellum ( Figs. 5D, E View FIGURE 5 ) approaching or even reaching apex of clavus, exposed part of mesonotum about 1/8–1/6 scutellum long, scutellum moderately swollen and gradually declined toward apex, median longitudinal ridge very strong and through entire scutellum. Forewing with one transparent band present between apical cells and appendix. Hind femur with 5–6 macrosetae at apex, tibia with ca. 9, 11 setae in rows AD, PD, respectively.
Male genitalia. Pygofer ( Figs. 5 View FIGURE 5 I–K) with dorsal inner margin broadly wavy, subapex of ventral margin with pair of stout teeth, few small short setae arranged along ventral margin; ventral appendage broad, evenly or unevenly tapered and somewhat variable in length, reaching teeth or even apex of pygofer, apex slightly curved dorsad. Subgenital plate shorter than pygofer side. Apical margin of connective ( Figs. 5G, H View FIGURE 5 ) emarginate; style about 2x as long as connective; aedeagus wide and somewhat depressed with pair of lateral flanges each giving rise to slender distally directed process, apical part tapering with lateral margins serrate basad of lateral process, median longitudinal dorsal ridge very strong and extended entire length of shaft, preatrium longer than shaft, gonopore truncate and subapical on shaft ventral surface.
