4. Aulacogenia errabunda (Distant) View in CoL (Figs. 28–30)

Diaditus errabundus Distant 1903: 54 ; Distant 1904: 226–227, fig. 160. Allomastix errabundus : Bergroth 1906: 4.

Aulacogenia corniculata: Li 1990: 27 View in CoL , part, pl. 12, fig. 69.

Aulacogenia errabunda: Miller 1954: 209 View in CoL , 212–213, fig. 2a–e; MaldonadoCapriles 1990: 494.

Redescription. Color. Yellowish brown to dark brown. Head, middle longitudinal stripe on pronotum, scutellum, femur (except apex), longitudinal stripes on lateral sides of mesothoracic sternum, most of abdomen beneath, distal half of each segment of connexivum, darker irregular markings on hemelytron dark brown to blackish brown; eyes blackish brown to black; distal two segments of rostrum, base and subapical portion of tibia pale yellow to yellowish brown; annulation before middle of tibia and apex of tibia brown to dark brown; most of corium, paler markings in middle cell, irregular paler markings on membrane pale yellow to grayish white; abdomen beneath suffused with pale markings, seemingly longitudinally striped.

Structure. Small sized. Transverse constriction deep and straight; dorsal surface of anteocular portion budging and longitudinally deeply depressed in middle, lower surface straight; antennal tubercles short; inner antennal processes short and thick, apical part somewhat widely separated, rounded and slightly reflexed upwards; middle of anterior and posterior parts of dorsal side of postocular portion deeply depressed, lower surface as shown in Fig. 29; first antennal segment shorter than anteocular portion; first rostral segment not reaching middle of eye, second rostral segment thick and short. Anterior and posterior lobes of pronotum subequal in length; middle and lateral sides of anterior pronotal lobe with longitudinal depressions; posterior half of posterior pronotal lobe budging, middle portion with somewhat wide longitudinal depression and depression shallower posteriorly; lateral angles of posterior pronotal lobe rounded, feebly budging, middle of posterior margin slightly convex. Middle of scutellum with shaped depression. Fore tibia not wider than fore femur. Posterior angle of each segment of connexivum not protruding. Abdominal tip of female as shown in Figs. 28, 30.

Measurements. Ψ. Body length 9.33, maximum width of abdomen 2.47, head length 1.53, length of anteocular part 0.77, length of postocular part 0.53, length of synthlipsis 0.50, distance between ocelli 0.37, length of antennal segments I:II:III:IV=0.68:0.83:0.13:0.47, length of rostral segments I:II:III=0.90:0.30:0.42, length of anterior lobe of pronotum 0.87, length of posterior lobe of pronotum 0.87, maximum width of pronotum 1.77, length of scutellum 0.57, length of hemelytron 5.27.

Type material. Holotype, Ψ, Sri Lanka: Kurunegalla, 1900.IX, kept in The Natural History Museum, London, Distant Collection, No. B.M.1911383.

Distribution. China (Guangxi), Sri Lanka, Vietnam.

Remarks. Li’s (1990) redescription of A. corniculata is perhaps based on specimens both of A. corniculata and this species, as both species occur in Guangxi. His illustration clearly can be recognized as a male of A. errabunda (Distant) .
