Distribution: (Afrotropical): Mali, Namibia *, Nigeria, Senegal, Oman and Uganda; (Oriental): India.
Host-plants: Cenchrus americanus (L.) Morrone (recorded as Pennisetum americanum ).
Parasitoids: Aprostocetus Westwood sp. and Melittobia Westwood sp. ( Hymenoptera : Eulophidae ).
