Aspicera daurica Belizin, 1952

( Figs 38a & b View FIGURE 38 )

Aspicera daurica Belizin, 1952: 292-3

Type material. (1♀). HOLOTYPE female deposited in ZIN, with the following labels: “Holotypus, Aspicera daurica m ♀, V. Belizin det” (handwritten, white label), “Soktui, Nerchinsky uezd, Zabaikalye (Chita region), 20.6.925, Vinogradov“ (in Russian, white label), Holotype Aspicera daurica Belizin, 1952 “ (red label), “ Aspicera daurica Belizin, 1952 , det. P. Ros-Farré 2004” (white label).

Diagnosis. Aspicera daurica is not similar to any other Aspicera species , because it has weak microsculpture, scutellum convex, interfoveal carina weak on scutellar disc, but sharply noticeable on scutellar spine, and punctuation of fourth metasomal segment reaching posterior margin of third metasomal segment.

Redescription

Length. Female 3.20 mm.; male unknown.

Coloration. Head and antenna black. Pronotum black to medium brown. Scutum medium brown, except scutellar spine dark brown. Mesopleuron, metapleura and propodeum black. Metasoma black, petiole medium brown. Leg dark to light brown.

Head. Frons coriaceous, with very sharp rugose sculpture. Lateral frontal carinae prominent, sinuous, very thin, slightly curved near antennal foramina and divergent. Area between compound eye and lateral frontal carinae with fine transverse carinae. Gena in lateral view rounded, not expanded, coriaceous and noticeable transverse carinae. Vertex not incised, coriaceous, with very sharp rugose sculpture. Ocelli slightly prominent. Occiput without microsculpture and many fine transverse carinae, even on dorsal 1/3.

Antenna. Incomplete in type material. Filiform. F1 weakly excavated. Antennal formula: 12(8): 4(6): 12(5.5): 10(5.5): 10(5.5): 11(5.5): 10(5.5): 9(5.5): 9(5.5): 9(5.5): three last antennomeres lost.

Mesosoma. Lateral surface of pronotum coriaceous transversely, carinate ventrally, with rugose carinae dorsally. Subpronotal plate not projected (dorsal margin so dirty in type that it cannot be described). Scutum coriaceous, with sharp rugose carinae mostly on area between notauli, some punctate sculpture near parascutal sulcus. Lateral line conspicuous, incomplete. Antero-admedian lines smooth, polished, reaching 1/ 3 length of scutum, parallel; median ridge weak. Notauli narrow, with few transverse carinae. Median mesoscutal sulcus destroyed by the needle. Area between notauli not prominent in lateral view. Parascutal sulcus ending near anterior end of notauli, smooth, pubescent anteriorly. Mesopleuron with sharp punctate sculpture and oblique carinae on ventral area and anterior 1/3, smooth on dorsoposterior area. Scutellum as long as scutum, not emarginate. Scutellar foveae with longitudinal carinae, scutellar pits sharply deep. Interfoveal carina weak on scutellar disc, but sharply noticeable on scutellar spine. Scutellar disc swollen posterior to scutellar foveae, with many longitudinal carinae, rugose, sloping towards basis of scutellar spine in lateral view. Scutellar spine 0.5 times length of scutellar disc, short, quite wide, with granulate sculpture, straight in lateral view.

Wing. Wing membrane slightly smoked. Radial cell 2.2 times longer than wide. Wing pubescence not reduced. Marginal pubescence not clear because wing margin is not well preserved. R1 long. R2 straight, slightly curved near dorsal margin. Rs+M absent.

Biology. Unknown.

Distribution. Eastern Palaearctic: Zabaikalye region ( Russia, East of Siberia).
