Aslamidium strandi (Uhmann) New Combination.
The genus Demotispa has been a catchall genus for species belonging in Aslamidium Borowiec , Cephaloleia Chevrolat , Parimatidium Spaeth , and Stilpnaspis Weise. This species is congeneric with Aslamidium .

Plant associations Spermacoce sp. [ Rubiaceae ] ( Flowers & Janzen 1997), probably not the true host plant; Calathea sp. [ Marantaceae ].
