Ashmeadiella rhodognatha View in CoL specializes on pollen from several plants in the family Fabaceae View in CoL , including Dalea View in CoL L., Olneya A. Gray View in CoL , Parkinsonia View in CoL L., Prosopis L., and Psorothamnus Rydb. ( Fowler 2020) View in CoL . Within the BCP, this species has been previously recorded in the Central Desert, Vizcaíno Desert , and Sarcocaulescent Shrubland by BBSL. The CARCIB team also collected this species in the Magdalena Plains in September 2016 (1 ♂), and November 2017 (2 ♀), and the Gulf Coast in August 2017 (1 ♀). Additionally, the BBPT collected specimens in the Baja California Mountains in May 2022 (1 ♀), Lower Colorado Desert in May 2021 (17 ♀, 1 ♂), and Central Desert in March 2021 (1 ♀). Voucher specimens are in MABC, and ECOAB. See fig. 243 .
