Type specimens. Holotype: female, 29.i.2010, India: Karnataka: Kulgi, Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary , 513m (15 0 10' 09.6"N, 74 0 38' 02.3"E), coll. M. Siliwal, N. Gupta and S. Behra, WILD-10-ARA-620.

Paratype: 1 female, same data as holotype, WILD-10-ARA-612.

Diagnosis. Female differs from A. nebulosa by presence of 4-4 spines on tibia I ventrally (in A. nebulosa 3-3 spines; in A. vansda sp. nov. 5-3 spines) and mt I ventrally with 6-5 spines (in A. nebulosa and A. vansda sp. nov. 3-3 spines). It differs from rest of the well described known species by the anterior receptacle, long, strongly sclerotized with pointed tip ( Figs 15 View FIGURES 14–17 , 20–21 View FIGURES 18–23. 18, 20, 22 ) [in A. vansda sp. nov. AR broader at its base, with dorsal lobe slightly sclerotized]. Interpulmonary fold narrow, widely convex at middle, and lateral parts with dorsal saw-like extensions ( Figs 15 View FIGURES 14–17 , 20 View FIGURES 18–23. 18, 20, 22 ) [in A. vansda sp. nov., the interpulmonary fold have a widened sclerotization at middle, and its lateral parts lacking dorsal extensions].

Etymology. The species epithet is a noun in apposition, in honor of the founder of Wildlife Information Liaison Development Society, Dr. Sanjay Molur for his efforts to popularize Indian spider research.
