Type:— RUSSIAN FEDERATION. Omsk region, Western Siberia: Chernoluch'je (holotype, LE, Dorofeevs.n.! figured in Dorofeev 1963: pl. 43, fig. 17).

Stratigraphy:—Miocene.

Eponymy:—From Tobolia, a name of palaeoland (part of ancient Western Siberia in Mesozoic–Cainozoic).
