Material examined. 1♀, El-Heiz (Ein Eleza, Bahariya Oasis), 28°01'34"N, 28°38'20"E, swept on Medicago sativa L. , 31.x.2013 (leg. Usama Abu El-Ghiet).
Previous records from Egypt. Alexandria ( Hafez et al. 1987 as Tetrastichus ceroplastae ), Mansoura (Daqahleya) (31°01'94"N, 31°22'39"E) ( Ragab 1995 as T. ceroplastae ), Fayoum (29°18'30"N, 30°50'34"E) ( Gadallah et al. 2014).
Distribution. Afrotropical, Australian and Palaearctic.
Host records. In Egypt, this species has been reported from Lepidosaphes beckii (Newman) ( Hemiptera : Diaspididae ), Ceroplastes floridensis Comstock ( Hemiptera : Coccidae ) ( Hafez et al. 1987), and Ceroplastes rusci (Linnaeus) ( Hemiptera : Coccidae ) ( Ragab 1995).
