Biology. Meadows, ruderal habitats. On Asteraceae : Carduus pycnocephalus , Cirsium arvense , C. vulgare , Onopordum acanthium ( Alonso-Zarazaga 1991; Wanat 1995)
Note.: Recent revision of species revealed the majority of historical records of C. carduorum were based on misidentifications and refer to C. gibbirostre ( Wanat 1995) .
