Anthaxia (Haplanthaxia) ceres Cobos, 1967: 398 –400, syn. n.

Anthaxia ceres was described from 2 males and 2 females labeled: ”Otjiwarongo Distr., Abachaus, S. W. Afr., G. Hobohm coll., 18.III.1953 ” (holotype and allotype deposited in ZSMC, 2 paratypes in MNCN). Having studied all type specimens of A. ceres and the male syntype of A. turneri (NMPC) labeled: ”Kaoko Otavi, S. W. A.”, I find A. ceres to be conspecific with A. turneri and a new junior subjective synonym.
