Anteon brachypterum Olmi 1984: 353 .
Description. ♀ (Figs 41A, B). Brachypterous, with forewing very reduced, slightly longer than mesoscutum + me- soscutellum + metanotum. Length 2.5–3.4 mm. Head black, except mandible testaceous-brown; antenna brown, except antennomeres 1–3 testaceous; mesosoma and metasoma black; tegula testaceous; legs of holotype testaceous, except coxae and clubs of femora partly brown; legs of specimen from Mozambique, Cuamba, yellow, except part of meso- and metacoxa and stalks of meso- and metafemur brown. Antenna clavate; antennomeres in following proportions: 10:6:7:7:7:6:6:6:6:8. Head dull, granulate; frontal line present; occipital carina complete; POL = 6; OL = 3; OOL = 5; OPL = 4.5; TL = 5. Pronotum dull, setose, granulate, approximately twice as long as mesoscutum (13:5); pronotal tubercle reaching tegula. Mesoscutum dull, very reduced, granulate and reticulate rugose. Notauli absent. Mesoscutellum shiny, small, unsculptured, slightly shorter than mesoscutum (4:5). Metanotum short, approximately 0.5 × as long as mesoscutellum (2:4). Mesopleuron and metapleuron transversely striate. Metapectal-propodeal disc dull, reticulate rugose and granulate, with strong transverse posterior keel; propodeal declivity granulate, with few irregular keels, not reticulate rugose. Protarsomeres in following proportions: 7:2:2:4:10; no protarsomeres produced into hook. Chela without rudimentary claw. Enlarged claw ( Fig. 42B View FIGURE 42 ) with proximal prominence bearing one long bristle. Protarsomere 5 ( Fig. 42B View FIGURE 42 ) with one row of 14–20 lamellae; apex with 4–5 lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.

Material examined. Type: ♀ holotype: ERITREA: Ghinda ( ZMUH) . Other material: MOZAMBIQUE: Ni- assa, Cuamba, Catholic University of Mozambique , Campus of Agriculture Faculty, M. Olmi reared from a nymph of an unknown species of Cicadellidae showing two thylacia, parasitized host collected 21.III.2008, dryinid cocooning 22.III.2008, dryinid adult emergence in 2009, 1♀ ( MOLC) .
Hosts. In Mozambique: nymphs of unidentified species of Cicadellidae .
Distribution. Eritrea, Mozambique.
