Etymology. Named for its light ventral coloration; from the Latin, luridus , pale yellowish orange.
Distribution. Mexico.
Biological notes. Collected on Passiflora spp.
Diagnosis. This taxon is similar to Anisoscelis (Bitta) affinis Westwood and A. (B.) podalicus (Brailovsky and Mayorga) having the the posterior lobe of pronotal disk never tricolored, usually with the posterolateral borders and posterior border yellow and dorsal and ventral surface without metallic bluish-green reflections. In A. (B.)
podalicus the femora are yellow with two complete dark brown longitudinal stripes and antennal segments II–II dark brown. In the other two species the antennal segments II–III are pale yellowish orange to castaneous orange. In A. (B.) affinis the femora are entirely yellowish orange, with claval and corial veins unicolorous with the reddish to dark orange surface; in A. (B.) luridus the femora are yellowish orange with short dark brown longitudinal stripe restricted to the anterior third, and the claval and corial veins are pale yellow, contrasting with the reddish castaneous surface.
