This new species differs from A. pulchripennis by having the body with golden-green reflections; the clypeus short, with its apical margin truncate, and the clypeal carina distinct; the antennal scrobe carinate; the ocelli large; the notaulus very narrow; the metapostnotum with longitudinal ridges; the mesopleural fovea closed; and the mesopleural suture opened, whereas A. pulchripennis has the body black; the clypeus very short, with apical margin angulate, and clypeal carina hardly distinct from clypeus; the antennal scrobe ecarinate; the ocelli small; the notaulus narrow; the metapostnotum without longitudinal ridges; the mesopleural fovea opened; and the mesopleural suture closed.
