[ Holotype: UCRC; ♀ Palm Springs, California, US; March 9, 1924 ]

LaBerge (1985) first reported this species in BCP in Valle de la Trinidad in Chaparral habitat. This species is a pollen specialist on Phacelia Juss. ( LaBerge 1985) . Specimens from the Lower Colorado Desert and Central Desert collected in March 2014 (5 ♀) are preserved at the CNIN. The BBPT collected this species at various locations within the Central Desert (BC) and the Vizcaíno Desert ( BCS) ( MABC). See fig. 7.
