Morphological data.

This species can be morphologically distinguished from its nearest neighbor by having the mesosoma entirely black (Fig. 5 View Figure 5 ) compared to having large orange patches on the lateral sides ( Sharkey et al. 2011: figs 3, 4).

Etymology.

Aerophilus davidwagneri is named in honor of David Wagner of the University of Connecticut, Storrs, Connecticut, USA, for his recent work as an environmental activist for a healthier global climate and wild biodiversity.
