Paratype: 1♀: [Coll. I.R.Sc.N.B., ZAMBIA NW, 92km NW Mpika, 27.xi.2005, lgt. M. Snížek, IG: 31.208] ( RBINS).

DESCRIPTION.

MALE. Measurements: length: 9.5 mm, width: 4.5 mm.

Body: laterally convex, relatively elongate, slightly bent, broader in middle of elytra; abdomen concave; perpendicular process at base of prosternum rounded, spinose process on third abdominal ventrite, second ventrite with crater-shaped structure; yellowish with head, all margins, tarsi and spines on outer sides of legs reddish-brown; teeth of protibiae, apex of upper lip and apex of mandibles blackish; slightly shiny.

Head: broad; clypeus rounded, entirely reflexed, totally covered with tubercles; vertex with isolated tubercles; antennae with 10 antennomeres, with club longer than funicle.

Thorax: pronotum rectangular, wider than long; sides uniformly rounded from base to apex; all margins with complete marginal line; anterior angles slightly projecting and reaching posterior margin of eyes; with shallow horseshoe-shaped punctures, almost coalescent on sides; impressed point on lateral margins; scutellar shield subobtuse, with rounded apex, with shallow, horseshoe- shaped punctures.

Elytra: longer than wide; epipleura complete; primary costae more convex than interstices; all secondary striae irregularly punctate with horseshoe-shaped punctures; striae formed by a line of close small horseshoe-shaped punctures; humeral and apical calli slightly marked.

Pygidium: triangular, apex rounded, marginated along anal plate, slightly imbricate-punctate; not projecting postero-ventrally and not surpassing apex of elytra.

Venter: lateral part of metaventrite with large transversal crescent punctures, middle part almost smooth; lateral part of abdominal ventrites imbricate punctate, middle part almost smooth.

Legs: protibiae tridentate and relatively slender, inner claw elongate and cleft, shorter than last tarsomere, mesotarsal outer claw cleft; outer claw of metatarsus two times longer than inner and uncleft.

Setation: dorsal side covered with short, white squamous decumbent setae; long, widely spaced, erected, yellowish setae from lateral margins of pronotum to declivity of elytra, on antennae and on canthus; underside with short, white, squamous decumbent setae; sparse, long, decumbent brownish-yellow setae inserted in setigerous punctures; close, long, decumbent yellowish-brown setae along anterior and posterior margins of prosternum; longer, white, erected squamous setae on disc of pygidium; long, erected, yellowish-brown setae on base of labium; outer sides of legs with short, white squamous, decumbent, setae, inner sides with long, erected, brownish-yellow setae inserted in setigerous punctures.

Aedeagus: in lateral view, parameres elongate and straight; in dorsal view lateral margins of parameres curved, apex strongly notched at apico-internal angle, left process shorter.

FEMALE: Measurements: length: 10.5 mm, width: 5 mm.

Differs from ♂ by: larger body; laterally more convex and abdomen convex; no spinose process on second and third abdominal ventrites; antennae with club as long as funicle; pygidium slightly projecting postero-ventrally and not surpassing apex of elytra; protibiae narrower with apical teeth longer.

A. kennedyi View in CoL sp. nov. ( Fig. 13 View Fig )

Aedeagus: in dorsal view, lateral margins of parameres curved.

Male with a spinose process on third abdominal ventrite, second ventrite with a crater-shaped structure.

A. depressusoides Limbourg, 2019 ( Figs 13–14 View Fig View Fig )

Aedeagus:in dorsal view, lateral margins of parameres almost parallel.

Male with a spinose process on second and third abdominal ventrite.
