9. Acianthera herrerae (Luer) Solano & Soto Arenas View in CoL in Hágsater & Soto (2003: x). Pleurothallis herrerae Luer (1991: 100) . Type:— GUATEMALA. Prov. of Quetzaltenango, Zunil, alt. 2,100 m, August 1987, Herrera sub Dix & Dix 6522 (holotype MO[149965]! isotype UVAL).

Distribution:— Mexico (Chiapas [ Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 ]) and Guatemala.

Specimens:— MEXICO. Chiapas, región del Volcán Tacaná, Suárez s.n. (photo).

Notes:—Although this species has not previously been recorded in Mexico, the presence of this species was expected in Chiapas. Here, this species is reported for the first time for Mexican flora.
