China. Fujian: Holotype ♀, Fuzhou, Forest Park, 17-VI-1989, Zhi-Shan Wu, by sweeping ( FAFU) ; Paratypes 2 ♀♀, 2 ♂♂, Sanming, 8-VII-1987, Chang-Ming Liu, by yellow sticky trap ( FAFU) .

REMARKS

Ablerus floccosus resembles Ablerus chionaspidis (Howard, 1914) , but is distinguished from the latter by the following characters: antenna with scape and pedicel mostly whitish; forewings without pale area below the marginal vein, but with numerous, dense, black and coarse setae, and a group of denser and coarser setae below the distal portion of marginal vein.
