Note. This large species may be H. confusus Regimbart, 1903, a species endemic to Madagascar, or H. badeniSharp, 1882, also present in continental Sub-Saharan Africa ( Bistroem1996).
Distribution. Unknown.
Habitat in study area. Same as Hydrovatus dentatus(see above)
