<spm:hasContent>  Diagnosis.  H. pseudobutleriis characterized by the wide and reddish brown oblique submarginal line of forewing and the medial line of hindwing, and forewing without darkish shade distal to medial band. This species can be recognized by the following characters in male genitalia: narrow valva, saccular process strongly curved outwards, left process is short and the right process is slender, vesica with some flakes at basal part and a sclerotized, thick, hook-like process at distal part. Externally,  H. pseudobutleri  sp. nov.is similar to  H. butleri(Leech)( Figs. 6, 10), but the ground color is darker in  H. pseudobutleri; the submarginal line of forewing and the medial line of hindwing are both wider in  H. pseudobutlerithan in  H. butleri; the color of the submarginal line is reddish brown in  H. pseudobutleri, in  H. butleri, the color of the submarginal line is blackish brown; the dark shade exterior to the submarginal line is absent in  H. pseudobutleri, it is present in  H. butleri; the hindwing with discal spot obscure in  H. pseudobutleri, the discal spot on hindwing is well expressed in  H. butleri. In male genitalia, valva is narrow in  H. pseudobutleri, valva is broad in  H. butleri; the saccular process is short and strongly curved in  H. pseudobutleri, the saccular process is long and stick-straight in  H. butleri; the vesica with some flakes and a sclerotized and hook-like process in  H. pseudobutleri, a short, membranous process and a long, tubular process on vesica in  H. butleri.   H. pseudobutleri new speciesalso resembles  H. hainana  sp. nov., but can be separated from the latter by the following characters: the ground color is brown; the color of the submarginal line of forewing and medial line of hindwing are darker in  H. pseudobutleri; the dark shade exterior to the submarginal line is absent in  H. pseudobutleri, it is present in  H. hainana; the reniform stigma is clearly marked in  H. pseudobutleri, the stigma is vague in  H. hainana; the valva is narrow and the saccular process curved and slender in  H. pseudobutleri, valva is broad and the saccular process thick and stout in  H. hainana; vesica with a short and thick process in  H. pseudobutleri, vesica with a long and slender process in  H. hainana.</spm:hasContent>
