Dorsal setae smooth, except Z5, which are serrate. Peritreme Reaching level of j3. Venter All ventral shields smooth. Distances between ST1ST3 66, ST2ST2 72 and ST5ST5 8291. A single pair of metapodal shields. Ventrianal shield 115131 long, 6770 wide at ZV2 level and 7778 wide at anus level. Chelicera Movable digit 24 long, with 1 tooth; fixed digit 25 long, with 5 teeth. Spermatheca Calyx 1619 long, flaring distally and slightly bulged near atrium, which is small. Legs Macrosetae sharptipped: SgeI 21, SgeII 2124, SgeIII 3032, StiIII 2629, SgeIV 5358, StiIV 4043, StIV 5661. MALE (Specimens measured – South Africa: 1). Dorsum Dorsal shield 282 long. REMARKS: McMurtry (1980) proposed the synonymy indicated for this species based on hybridization tests conducted in laboratory. Because of page priority, it is understood that the correct procedure is to retain the specific name rubicolusrather than addoensis, used by McMurtry.
