However, based on an analysis of the subfamily,  Karoocapsusgroups with  TytthusPoppiusand several genera usually assigned to the Phylini, a grouping that is more closely related to the Pilophorinithan Leucophoropterini(Menard et al., in press). Therefore,  Karoocapsusis transferred from the Leucophoropterinito the Phylini.
