Three new species of Bryopharsos Quate, 1996 (Diptera, Psychodidae, Psychodinae) from the Neotropical Region Bravo, Freddy Araújo, Maíra Xavier Zootaxa 2019 2019-06-19 4619 2 364 370 Bravo & Araújo, 2019 Bravo & Araújo 2019 [151,444,729,756] Insecta Psychodidae Bryopharsos Animalia Diptera 1 365 Arthropoda species uncinatum sp. nov.  ( Figs. 1–12)   Type material.  Holotype, male: [ BRAZIL], São Paulo, Sete Barras,  24.XII.2004–  08.I.2005, Malaise[trap], without name of collector ( MZFS); 15 paratypesmale with same data of holotype( MZFZ); 32 paratypesmale with same data of holotypeexcept by date of collect: 18 paratypesmale  25.vii–7.XI.2004; 8 paratypesmale  25.VII–07.VIII.2004; 6 paratype male  16–30.X.2004( MZFS).   Etymology.Name from Latin “ uncinatus” referring to hook-shaped aedeagus.   Diagnosis.Male. Eye bridge with four facet rows; wing twice as long than as wide; ejaculatory apodeme subcircular in the dorsal view; cercus with reduced apical area, with one tenaculum; aedeagus hook shaped.   Description.Male. Head vertex length almost 1.5 times the width of eye bridge; eye bridge with four facet rows; pedicel shorter than scape ( Figs. 1 and 5). Occipital setae present and distributed into two blocks, smaller dorsally and larger ventrally; post-ocular alveoli present ( Fig. 2). Labellum short ( Fig. 3) and maxillary lacinia knifelike ( Fig. 4). Fourteen flagellomeres, eccentric except first flagellomere that is spherical; flagellomeres 2–11 very eccentric; internodes of flagellomeres 1–3 short; internodes of flagellomeres 4–13 with the same length of nodes; flagellomere 14 without internode ( Figs. 5 and 6). One pair of ascoids by flagellomere, leaf-shaped ( Fig. 7). Thorax without allurement organs. Wing twice as long as wide; seta alveoli distributed uniformly on wing membrane ( Fig. 8). Hypandrium narrow; gonostylus with blunt apex; aedeagus hook-shaped; ejaculatory apodeme subcircular dor- sally; paramere subtriangular and wider than aedeagus ( Figs. 9 and 10). Gonocoxal apodemes projected anteriorly as pair of thin blades with acute apex, not fused but in contact, and projected posteriorly as subtriangular plate, ventrally with transversal suture and dorsally with apical pilosity ( Figs. 9 and 10). Epandrium with a concave posterior margin; cercus with apical one-fourth narrower than base with one apical tenaculum; subepandrial sclerite plate-like with distal arms sclerotized where cerci are articulated; epiproct smaller than the hypoproct, both with apical micropilosity ( Figs. 11, and 12).  Female.Unknown.   Remarks.See comments in the description of  Bryopharsos paulistensis  sp. nov. 2268317510 2004-07-25 2005-01-08 2004-07-25 MZFS, MZFZ Brazil Malaise Sete Barras 1 365 79 6 Sao Paulo holotype
