Antenna brownish-yellow ( Fig. 185); length of second to third antennomere 0.64–0.70 (mean: 0.68), and length of third to fourth antennomere 0.69–0.75 (mean: 0.72) ( Fig. 187). Antennomeres 1–4 of two different males (a, b) and two different females (c, d).  Thorax.Pronotum yellow; strongly trapezoidal; pronotal width 1.84–2.08 mm(mean: 2.01 mm), pronotal length 0.76–1.08 mm(mean: 0.94 mm), and pronotal length to width 0.41–0.52 (mean: 0.49). Elytron entirely yellow, coarsely punctuated ( Fig. 185); elytral length 4.20–5.00 mm (mean: 4.66 mm), elytral width 2.80–3.50 mm(mean: 3.16 mm), and maximal width of both elytra to length of elytron 0.64–0.71 (mean: 0.68). Meso-, metathorax and legs entirely yellow; length of basi-metatarsus to metatibia 0.48–0.55 (mean: 0.52).  Abdomen.Yellow.  Male genitalia.Median lobe long and slender in ventral view; apical section blunt, with small incision ( Fig. 186a); ventrally elongate and sclerotized in lateral view, with two curved ridges ( Fig. 186c); endophallic brush covered by tectum and median lobe.   Diagnosis.  Neobarombiella spielbergi sp. n.is characterized by its large body size, entirely yellow colouring of the pronotum and elytra, and the dark and coarsely punctuated elytra.  Neobarombiella cornuta sp. n.is significantly smaller, total length 3.80–4.40 mm( 5.20–6.35 mmin  N. spielbergi sp. n.) ( Figs 137, 185);  N. medvedevi sp. n.is entirely brown ( Fig 165);  N. naumanni sp. n.( Fig. 169) and  N. flavicollis comb. n.( Fig. 82) have at least reddish-brown elytra. Entirely pale specimens of  N. senegalensisare distinguishable by the length of the second to third antennomere, 0.71–0.86( 0.64–0.70 in  N. spielbergi sp. n.) ( Figs 94, 187); and such pale specimens of  N. flavilabriscan only be distinguished with certainty by their male genitalic pattern ( Figs 8, 186) and the width of the eye to the interocular distance, 0.60–0.69 ( 0.45–0.57 in  N. spielbergi sp. n.) ( Figs 7, 185).   Distribution.West and Central Africa from the Ivory Coastand Togoto eastern Democratic Republic of the Congoand Kenya, and southwards to Angola( Fig. 46).   Type material.  Holotype, male: “Kenya, Kakamega F., 0°22’N/ 34°50’E,  1600m., 7-11.II.99, Th.
