        <spm:hasContent> HABITATS AND DISTRIBUTION. — This species is considered a forestdependent species that inhabits montane and lowland forest ( Happold 2013eas  Hipposideros camerunensis). Indeed, Eisentraut (1963)documented this species in the montane forest of Mount Cameroonat an altitude of 1400 ma.s.l. It has been recorded in two other localities in Africa: Shabunda in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congoand at the KakamegaForest in western Kenya( Mickleburgh et al.2019). Being a forest-dependent species, it is probably threatened by ongoing forest degradation in its geographical range ( Mickleburgh et al.2008b).</spm:hasContent>
