TYPE LOCALITY: Ethiopia (= Abyssinia), Shoa, (= probably Ankober) .

DISTRIBUTION: Ethiopia to N.E. Angola and N. Mozambique.

COMMENT: Includes brevicaudus ; see Misonne, 1974, Part 6:21. Thomas, 1902, Proc. Zool. Soc. Lond., 1902(2):314, discussed the type locality.

ISIS NUMBER: 5301410011031002001 as L. flavopunctatus .
