DISTRIBUTION: Crete ( Greece).

COMMENT: Considered a distinct species by Niethammer and Krapp, 1978, Handbuch der Saugetiere Europas, 1:452; but also see Corbet, 1978: 142, who listed minous as a subspecies of cahirinus .
