TYPE LOCALITY: Equatorial Guinea, Bioko (= Fernando Po) .

DISTRIBUTION: Guinea to Gabon and the Central African Republic; Bioko.

COMMENT: The relationship of alleni to Stella and to simus needs further study; see Misonne, 1974, Part 6:28-29. Considered distinct from Stella by Robbins et al., 1980, Ann. Carnegie Mus ., 49(2):31-48, who included simus and canus in alleni and is followed here.
