Lectotype (Wunderlin in Turland & Jarvis in Taxon 46: 466. 1997): Herb. Clifford: 157, Bauhinia 3 (BM-000558715) .

Current name: Bauhinia ungulata L. ( Fabaceae : Caesalpinioideae ).

Note: Wunderlin (in Ann. Missouri Bot. Gard. 63: 349. 1976; 70: 124. 1983) indicated an unseen Miller specimen at BM as the lectotype, but this cannot be regarded as original material because Linnaeus did not study these specimens.
