Locus typicus: “… Genève au bord du lac…”.

Pictet, probably giving the place (Genthod) and the date (July 27) of collecting] . – MHNG; syntype, ♂ imago bearing 4 labels ( Fig. 2 View Fig ): 620 Genthod 48 Genève, coll. Pictet / Eph[emera] glaucops ♂ imago [F.-J. Pictet’s handwriting] / Gthd 21.7 [Pictet’s handwriting]/ Ephemera glaucops Pictet 1843 M. Remarks: This is the best series at the MHNG. Besides numerous subsequent misidentifications, there are 4 specimens that still bear a label handwritten by F.-J. Pictet and that were collected at Genthod, near Geneva. Only these 4 specimens can be considered syntypes of E. glaucops .
