Sinopoda kalaw View in CoL spec. nov.
Figs 18 View FIGURES 18 a–b, 58 k–l
Type material: Holotype: female ( PJ 897 , SD 1316), MYANMAR: Southern Shan State: Kalaw , evergreen forest, near water reservoir, under bark, N20°35’36”, E96°31’46”, 1420 m, found with egg sac, 13 June 2017, S. Huber & P. Schwendinger leg., field number #L-051 ( SMF). GoogleMaps
Etymology: The species name is derived from the type locality; term in apposition.
Diagnosis: Females of Sinopoda kalaw spec. nov. are similar to those of S. kyee spec. nov. ( Figs. 24 View FIGURES 24 a–b) in having sclerotised bulges beside the lobal septum and fused lateral lobes with deep indentation posteriorly. They can be distinguished from the latter species by 1. indentation between sclerotized bulges and lobal septum at anterior part nearly half the size of indentation in S. kyee spec. nov., 2. internal duct system straight and anterior part without separated swelling (curved and anterior part appearing as small separated swelling in S. kyee spec. nov.), 3. glandular appendages with distal part closer to spermathecae and 4. fertilization ducts long and slender (short and wide in S. kyee spec. nov.).
Description: Female (holotype): Total length 21.20; prosoma 9.70 long, 8.50 wide, anterior width of prosoma 5.40; opisthosoma 11.50 long, 6.70 wide. Eye measurements: AME 0.42; ALE 0.66; PME 0.48; PLE 0.67; AME–AME 0.33; AME–ALE 0.17; PME–PME 0.55; PME–PLE 0.75; AME–PME 0.65; ALE–PLE 0.56; clypeus AME 0.63; clypeus ALE 0.57. Leg formula: 2143. Measurements of palp and legs: palp: 13.20 (3.90, 2.20, 2.80, 4.30); I: 32.30 (9.20, 4.50, 8.40, 7.70, 2.50); II: 36.40 (10.50, 4.70, 10.20, 8.40, 2.60); III: 28.90 (8.20, 4.00, 7.70, 6.80, 2.20); IV: 32.10 (9.20, 3.80, 8.60, 8.00, 2.50). Spination: palp: 131, 102/101, 2121, 1014; legs: Fe I 523/323, II 323, III 523/333, IV 331; Pa I–II 001, III–IV 000; Ti I–II & IV 2026, III 3027/2026; Mt I–II 1014, III 2016, IV 3036. Cheliceral furrow with 3 anterior and 4 posterior teeth.
Colouration in ethanol: Prosoma reddish-brown, posteriorly with brown transversal stripe, laterally dark brown. Sternum yellowish-brown with brown margin. Opisthosoma dark brown, anterior part brown with yellow longitudinal stripe, laterally with brown stripes, medially with four yellow dots, ventral part brown, laterally with yellow spots. Chelicerae dark brown. Palps reddish-brown; Mt nearly black. Legs reddish-brown.
Copulatory organ as in diagnosis. Epigynal field wider than long with two short anterior bands and one slit sensillum on right side. Epigynal pockets running from latero-posterior to medio-anterior, strongly bent. Lobal septum narrow, anteriorly with small median indentation. Fusion bubbles arranged medially in a longitudinal line at epigyne. Internal duct system longer than wide, anterior part as nearly as wide as posterior part. Glandular appendages extending posteriorly in posterior half of internal duct system, narrow and slightly curved. Fertilization ducts arising postero-laterally, proximal part wider than distal part.
Male: Unknown.
Distribution: Known only from the type locality.
