Sinopoda phathai View in CoL spec. nov.

Figs 54 View FIGURES 54 a–c, 61 g–h

Type material: Holotype: female ( PJ 1815 , SD 1653), THAILAND: Lampang Province: Ban Huat, Pha Thai Cave , in the cave, ca. 700 m, 25 July 2002, field number SP.0118 ( MHNG).

Etymology: The species name is derived from the type locality; term in apposition.

Diagnosis: Females of S. phathai spec. nov. are similar to those of S. lot spec. nov. ( Figs. 53 View FIGURES 53 a–b) and S. chiangmaiensis spec. nov. ( Figs. 52 View FIGURES 52 d–e) in the diagnostic characters mentioned above but can be distinguished from S. lot spec. nov. by 1. sclerotised bulges extending in posterior half of epigyne and anterior part curved medially and lateral part straight (extending not in posterior half of epigyne and anterior part rounded in S. lot spec. nov.), 2. distance between anterior ends of epigynal pockets nearly two-thirds of epigyne width (nearly equal to epigyne width in S. lot spec. nov.), 3. spermathecae with anterior part semicircular and median part with small bulges (anterior part curved and median part without small bulges in S. lot spec. nov.), 4. glandular appendages straight (curved in S. lot spec. nov.) and 5. fertilization ducts long and curved (slender and short in S. lot spec. nov.); from S. chiangmaiensis spec. nov. by 1. sclerotised bulges situated in posterior half of epigyne and anterior part curved (situated only in anterior half of epigyne and anterior part straight in S. chiangmaiensis spec. nov.), 2. distance between anterior ends of epigynal pockets nearly two-third of epigyne width (nearly half of epigyne width in S. chiangmaiensis spec. nov.), 3. spermathecae with anterior part semicircular and median part with small bulges (anterior part short and median part without bulges in S. chiangmaiensis spec. nov.) and 4. glandular appendages with distal part not bent laterally (distal part bent laterally in S. chiangmaiensis spec. nov.).

Description: Female (holotype): Total length 14.90; prosoma 6.90 long, 5.90 wide, anterior width of prosoma 3.70; opisthosoma 8.00 long, 5.00 wide. Eye measurements: AME 0.25; ALE 0.40; PME 0.26; PLE 0.43; AME– AME 0.20; AME–ALE 0.09; PME–PME 0.36; PME–PLE 0.48; AME–PME 0.38; ALE–PLE 0.40; clypeus AME 0.39; clypeus ALE 0.40. Leg formula 2413. Measurements of palp and legs: palp: 10.30 (3.20, 1.80, 2.20, 3.10); I: 29.80 (8.00, 3.60, 8.50, 7.30, 2.40); II: 32.90 (9.10, 3.90, 9.50, 7.90, 2.50); III: 27.80 (7.90, 3.20, 8.00, 6.50, 2.20); IV: 30.10 (8.30, 3.30, 8.30, 7.80, 2.40). Spination: palp: Fe 131, Pa 101, Ti 2121, Mt 1014; legs: Fe I&III 323, II 323/423, IV 331; Pa I–IV 001; Ti I–III 2026, IV 2226; Mt I–II 0004, III 2016, IV 3036. Cheliceral furrow with 3 anterior and 4 posterior teeth.

Colouration in ethanol: Prosoma yellowish-brown, median part with light brown stripes. Sternum yellow, margin brown. Opisthosoma ventrally and dorsally yellowish-white, laterally more yellow. Chelicerae reddish-brown. Palps yellowish-brown; Mt distally reddish-brown. Legs yellowish-brown.

Copulatory organ as in diagnosis. Epigynal field wider than long with one slit sensillum on right side. Sclerotized bulges partially covered by lateral lobes. Lateral lobes fused with median indentation posteriorly. Narrow lobal septum. Spermathecae fused along median line, posterior part rounded, bulging postero-laterally. Glandular appendages relatively short and wide. Fertilization ducts arising postero-medially on posterior part.

Male: Unknown.
