7. L. macrocentron (Bentham) Ayers (1990: 312) View in CoL .

Heterotoma macrocentron Bentham in Hooker (1876: 68). Type:— MEXICO, Durango or Nayarit (?): Sierra Madre, NW of Mexico, November– February 1849 -50, B.C. Seemann 2049 (holotype K!, isotype BM!).

Distribution: — MEXICO: The exact locality for type collection is unknown, but it was possibly collected between Durango and Tepic, Nayarit. For a more thorough discussion about the type locality see Ayers (1987). It is an endemic species to Mexico known from the Madrean Central.

Representative specimens examined: — MEXICO. Only known from type collection.

8. L. mcvaughii Ayers (1987: 21) Type:— MEXICO, Durango: 34 road-miles W of El Salto, along highway from Durango to Mazatlán, 24 March 1951, R. McVaugh 11528 (holotype MICH!, isotypes MICH!, NY!, TEX!). ( Figure 2 View FIGURE 2 )

Distribution: — Lobelia mcvaughii is endemic to Mexico. Lobelia mcvaughii is known only from the type locality along western slopes of Sierra Madre Occidental in Durango, in the Tropical region. The species grows at an elevation range of 2570 to 2725 m ( Figure 1 View FIGURE 1 ).
