Type-species: Amydrostylus triadicophallus Lamas, Falaschi & Evenhuis sp. nov. (here designated).

Diagnosis. Antennae with minute apical stylus ( Figs 17–19 View FIGURES 12 – 19 ), vein Sc ending in C, and br same length as bm (Figs 6–7). Male genitalia well developed, 3/4 abdomen length ( Figs 10 View FIGURES 10 – 11 , 20, 29–35).

Etymology. The generic epithet derives from the Greek amydros, meaning indistinct, and stylus, in reference to the tiny apical stylus of antenna of the species. The specific epithet derives from the Greek roots triadikos, meaning triple, and phallus, in allusion to the trifid aedeagus of this species.
