Homotypic synonyms:— Cestichis cinnabarina (J.J.Sm.) M.A.Clem. & D.L.Jones in Jones & Clements (2005: 39); Stichorkis cinnabarina (J.J.Sm.) Marg., Szlach. & Kułak in Szlachetko, Margońska & Kułak (2008: 37).
Type:—Nieuw Guinea ( INDONESIA. New Guinea, Irian Jaya), an der Noordrivier, südlich des Geluksheuvel, Expedition of Lorentz in 1907., 12 July 1907, G.M. Versteeg (“ Verteeg ” in diagnose) 1428 (lectotype BO 0070057! designated here, isolectotypes BO 0070056!, BO spir.coll.!, K!, L 0061451!).
Note:—Smith’s noted at herbarium type-sheets that ‘main’ type specimen is that from Bogor with his original icon and for this reason I designated it as lectotype
