T y p e d e p o s i t i o n: Holotype 585/ 1 in the Institute of Parasitology, Biology Centre of the Czech Academy of Sciences, České Budějovice, Czech Republic.

D i s t r i b u t i o n: Austria, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia, Moldova, Crimea, and Azerbaijan. Here this species is recorded for the first time in Spain.

H o s t s: Eptesicus serotinus (Schreber) , Myotis daubentonii (Kuhl) , Myotis myotis (Borkhausen) , Plecotus auritus (Linnaeus) , P. austriacus , Pipistrellus pipistrellus ( Chiroptera : Vespertilionidae ), R. ferrumequinum , Rhinolophus hipposideros (Bechstein) ( Chiroptera : Rhinolophidae ), Arvicola terrestris (Linnaeus) ( Rodentia : Cricetidae ). Here this species is recorded for the first time from Pipistrellus kuhlii . In Spain this host species roosts in crevices of buildings, rocks and trees, as well as tree hollows and bat-boxes ( Ibañez 1998).
