Diplazium diplazioides (Klotzsch & H.Karst. ex Klotzsch) Alston, J. Bot. View in CoL 74: 174. 1936.
Range: —Southern Mexico to Trinidad and Ecuador; Bolivia (CO, LP).
Ecology: —Uncommon; terrestrial in humid forests; 900–2300 m.
Notes: —Closely related to D. ambiguum , but differs by pinnules that are cut nearly or quite to the costule, shorter sori (1–2.5 mm vs. 4–7 mm long), erose-ciliate indusia (vs. mostly entire), and adaxially glabrous axes (vs. sometimes pubescent). May also be confused with D. wolfii , but that has ciliolate costal scales and shorter (2–4 mm vs. 6–10 mm long) rhizome scales.
