Range: —Central Peru to Bolivia (CO, LP, SC).
Ecology: —Uncommon; terrestrial in humid forests; 900–3000 m.
Notes: — Diplazium vastum (Mett.) Diels from Colombia to Peru may occur in Bolivia. It differs from D. divergens by narrower ultimate segments (3–4 times vs. twice as long as broad) and completely glabrous (vs. moderately scaly to slightly pubescent) costae and costules.
