nebulosus Dunker Fig. 58
Limnaeus nebulosus Dunker (? in MS).
Material.
Two shells (labelled as ‘types’) collected in the Antilles (without precise locality) and kept in ZMB under accession number 9364. The largest of them is of 8.5 mm height.
Current taxonomic allocation.
Most probably, a synonym of Galba cubensis .
Remark.
This species name is absent in subsequent comprehensive works devoted to overview the New World lymnaeid fauna ( Küster 1862; Clessin 1886; von Martens 1890-1901; Hubendick 1951), and it remains unclear if Limnaeus nebulosus has been ever formally described.
