"Habitat in Gallia australi Baro Capucinus; ad muros Funschal. Koenig." RCN: 7906.

Lectotype (Panigrahi & Basu in Taxon 31: 103. 1982): König s.n., Herb. Linn. No. 1251.33 ( LINN) .

Current name: Cheilanthes fragrans (L. f.) Sw. ( Pteridaceae ).

Note: A later homonym of P. fragrans L. (1753) and therefore illegitimate. See extensive discussion by Nardi & Reichstein (in Webbia 39: 136. 1986), who concluded that the original elements were conspecific and diploid in nature.
