Ilyodromus amplicolis View in CoL lineage

Remarks. Ilyodromus amplicolis De Deckker, 1981 was described from a granite rock pool on top of Boyagin Rock, between Brookton and Pingelly, Western Australia, Australia ( De Deckker 1981). The species was then redescribed in Shearn et al. (in press) to enable more detailed comparisons with other species that were more recently described using a larger set of characters ( Shearn et al. 2014; Smith et al. 2011). The species is characterised as being large (around 2000 µm in length), with a broad calcified inner lamella posteriorly and anteriorly in both valves, without lists or a selvage, very reduced natatory setae on the A2, and the CR with Sp claw-like but with serration on all sides, and bent at 2/3 from the base ( De Deckker 1981). The following three species are allocated to the Ilyodromus amplicolis group based on these shared features, and their genetic similarity.
