Material examined. 1 male. CHINA, Yunnan province, Drung-Nu Autonomous county of Gongshan, Lisu Autonomous Prefecture of Nujiang , 21-VIII-2006, leg. Min Wang and Xiao-ling Fan. 2 males. CHINA, Xizang Autonomous Region, Pailong county, Linzhi city, altitude 2030 m, 31-VII-2017, leg. Fu-hong Wei, Shi-fang Mo, Si-yao Huang and Shu-qin Ji ( SCAU) .

Identification notes. Wingspan about 52 mm. Forewing chocolate-black with grey line and patches, orbicular and reniform stigma big, brownish black with white edge. Hindwing apricot, discal spot small and black, subterminal band narrowing towards costa margin, submedial area with a black, longitudinal stripe.

Diagnosis. This species can be distinguished from other congeneric species by the continuous and tapering subterminal band of hindwing beyond the anal angle to costal margin, the discal spot small and obscure.

Distribution. China (Yunnan, Xizang), Nepal, India, Thailand ( Chen 1999; Kononenko & Pinratana 2013).
