Current name: Physalis pruinosa L. ( Solanaceae ).

Note: Although the reference by Waterfall (in Rhodora 60: 167. 1958) to a photo ( “A”) of the type may appear vague, on p. 165 it is made clear that this is one of the "photographs of specimens in the Linnaean Herbarium, London". See also Martinez (in Taxon 42: 103. 1993).
